Team Europe revealed for Ryder Cup as Tommy Fleetwood and Shane Lowry join Bob MacIntyre in final 12

Europe's final 12-player lineup for the Ryder Cup has been announced with Luke Donald naming his six captain's picks on Monday afternoon.

Six stars had already been confirmed for the biggest team event in the sport as Europe look to reclaim glory up against a star-studded US lineup. Bob MacIntyre is among those qualifiers, becoming the first Scot to make the cut since Stephen Gallagher in 2014 and only the fourth to do it this side of the century.

John Rahm, Rory McIlroy, Viktor Hovland, Tyrell Hatton and Matt Fitzpatrick were among the others to guarantee their spots through the world rankings. And now Donald has announced the second half of the lineup for the event which gets under way in Rome later this month. Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry and Justin Rose are among the final 12 and they're joined by Ryder Cup debutants Sepp Straka, Nicolai Hojgaard and Ludvig Aberg.

There weren't any major surprises in the cut as Rose makes his sixth appearance at the showpiece event. 2019 Open winner Lowry joins the team again while first appearances for Straka, Hojgaard and Aberg add fresh blood to a strong looking European side for this year's event.
