As the summer transfer window approaches eyes will be turning to Arsenal and their pursuit of a new striker. Alexandre Lacazette is reported to be leaving the Emirates with his contract up at the end of June which would leave just Eddie Nketiah as a striking option at the North London club.

Recent weeks have seen Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus linked with the Gunners, with football.london's Chris Wheatley reporting that the Manchester City striker is on a shortlist along with Roma's Tammy Abraham.

However, the Brazilian's four goals against Watford at the weekend could make it harder to secure a transfer meaning that attentions could turn to Roma's Abraham. The former Chelsea striker has scored an impressive 15 goals in 33 Serie A starts since his move to the Italian capital last summer and was subject to enquiries from Arsenal in January.

Other names in the mix for the number nine role at the Gunners include Alexander Isak, Jonathan David and Dominic Calvert Lewin, but with all three demonstrating patchy form this season it could well be 24-year-old Abraham who becomes the club's number one target.
