Tam Courts NOT in Dundee manager running as former United boss has priorities elsewhere amid Ian Murray talks

Tam Courts has not applied or held any discussions with Dundee over their vacant managerial job.

The former Dundee United boss, who led the Tannadice club into Europe last season, has been continually linked with the post of their rivals over the last week. Courts has been in dialogue with clubs in England and overseas but there has been no contact from the Dark Blues.

The 41-year-old is in the process of putting the finishing touches to his UEFA Pro Licence and has been focusing on that since stepping down from Hungarian club Honved earlier this season. Dundee have been given permission to talk to Raith Rovers boss Ian Murray. They had opened talks with former St Johnstone boss Callum Davidson but were unable to persuade him to take the role. Dundee officials are now speaking to other candidates, including Murray. The Dark Blues have been without a manager after they sacked Gary Bowyer following their Championship title win and return to the Premiership.

Bowyer’s relationship with the Dens Park hierarchy had deteriorated in his final few weeks. And he is now on the lookout for a new job.
