Takeaway addict who ballooned to 22st after all-inclusive holiday reveals weight loss secret

A self-confessed takeaway addict who piled on the pounds after an all-inclusive holiday has revealed his weight loss secrets.

Charlie Murphy’s weight ballooned to more than 22 stone after “smashing” the unlimited food and drinks on a trip to Turkey earlier this year.

The 28-year-old was left feeling sluggish after overindulging on the holiday and soon reached his heaviest ever size.

But the Manchester United fan, who has 215k followers on TikTok for his football content, knew he had to make a change when he began struggling to breathe.

Charlie reached out to an online transformation coach on May 29 and immediately got started on his weight loss journey.

He was set calorie limits as well as protein goals and daily step targets. He also started exercising at home three days a week until he felt confident enough to go to a gym seven weeks later.

And his journey has so far been a success – seeing him lose three-and-half-stone, going from 22stone 3lbs to 18stone 9lbs.

“I’m still 55lbs away from my goal, but I’m sure I’ll get there as my lifestyle has really changed,” he told the Manchester Evening News.

“I’m feeling much more confident, but I’m also determined to get to the goal I’ve set. I’m only 50 per cent there.”

A former takeaway addict, Charlie used to scoff up to six deliveries a week including Dominos and Chinese food. He’d also gorge on fizzy drinks and desserts.

Completely transforming his diet, he now eats mainly steaks and chicken breasts and has cut out fizzy pop entirely.
