Take the wheel! Be Max Verstappen for R2.2m in Red Bull's über-successful RB18 simulator

Fans supporting Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing can now get their hands on a piece of history from the record-breaking 2022 Formula 1 season.

The championship-winning team announced that it would sell a race simulator based on the RB18 that powered the Austrian outfit to 17 wins out of 22 races last year. Of course, this is not your average simulator, as the device mimics the car's front half.

The simulators, of which there is a choice of two, will be manufactured using the same process as a real F1 car at Memento Exclusives in Northamptonshire, UK.

Red Bull confirmed that the two simulators would be available in 'The Champions Edition' and 'The Race Edition', but it is 'The Champions Edition' that is sure to spark the most significant amount of interest. "We are delighted to have co-created a unique sim racing experience that puts drivers in the cockpit of the championship-winning RB18," said Red Bull team principal Christian Horner.

"Driving an F1 car is something most of us can only dream of, but this simulator is as close as it gets to the real thing. Memento Exclusives have recreated the car to bring the track into your home."

• The Champions Edition: £99 999 (R2 215 083, estimated)

• The Race Edition: £74 999 (R1 661 307, est.)

Ferrari and Charles Leclerc pulled out a lead of around 80 points in the drivers' championship, but Red Bull
