Tactical switch and Erik ten Hag gamble - four ways Man United attack could line up vs Man City

After deploying Bruno Fernandes as a 'false nine' for each of Manchester United's final two Premier League games of the season, all eyes will be on Erik ten Hag's starting line-up at Wembley on Saturday.

United will make the trip to the capital for the second all-Manchester FA Cup final in as many seasons with the ambition of rescuing what has been a massively underwhelming campaign. United finished eighth in the league and crashed out of Europe at the first hurdle.

In a bid to salvage their season with a piece of silverware, United will have to get the better of their cross-city rivals, who have already beaten them twice this season. City won the most recent meeting 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium in March, but had to come from behind to take all three points.

United took an early lead through a thunderbolt from Marcus Rashford, who was teed up by Fernandes. The latter started that game as a 'false nine' and Ten Hag could repeat that tactic again at Wembley, particularly after the way he set his team up against Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion recently.
