Swansea City transfer news as Rotherham reject Ogbene enquiries amid set stipulations and Hannes Wolf's future spelled out

Rotherham United have rebuffed a number of enquiries regarding the services of Chiedozie Ogbene.

The Republic of Ireland international has enjoyed a fine start to the season but is in the final year of his contract with Paul Warne's men. He put a number of clubs on red alert while on international duty in the summer, particularly Swansea who he namechecked.

"Every player wants to be at a stable and established club - especially a big one like Swansea City," he said in June.

And it's understood Rotherham are reluctant to sell the 25-year-old this summer, with a January exit a possibility, unless a club stumps up to meet the Millers' hefty valuation of the versatile attacker in the final two weeks of the summer window.

Ogbene has featured in all four of Rotherham's fixtures so far this season and has netted goals against the Swans, Port Vale and Reading.

Daniel Farke has revealed Hannes Wolf will be an important player for Borussia Mönchengladbach following his return from injury.

The Austrian impressed during his loan spell with Swansea in the latter half of the 2021/22 campaign but suffered an injury during the summer after returning to Germany.

He is yet to feature for the Bundesliga this term but is now in a position to be involved in a matchday squad. And former Norwich City boss Farke - who took charge of Borussia Mönchengladbach in the summer - says he is delighted to have Wolf back in his ranks.
