Cardiff City transfer news Live: Updates as Luton build-up begins and Bluebirds' striker search enters end game

Cardiff City host Luton Town tonight with manager Steve Morison having one eye on the game and the other on his search for a new striker.

Their transfer business is set to go down to the wire, with a forward very much the boss' priority before the 11pm deadline on Thursday.

Morison says he and his team are working around the clock to get the player in, who, he says, must be the right fit and profile for the Bluebirds at this moment in time.

"It's a waiting game," he said. "It does make me laugh when people think we are not looking for players in certain areas of the pitch. We are! We haven't just started looking by the way, we have been looking since the start of this whole process. We have missed out on a couple, but outside of that, there hasn't really been anyone who takes our fancy.

"We will keep plugging away and see how we get on between now and Thursday."
