Swansea City 3-2 Nottingham Forest: Sensational late comeback sends Swans through
Swansea City are into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup for the first time in eight seasons after they fought back from two goals down to claim a dramatic late win over Nottingham Forest, who are still looking for their first win under Ange Postecoglou.
Much had been made of the Australian's presence in the visiting dugout here, in what were atrocious conditions at a sodden Swansea.com Stadium, but stoppage-time goals from Zan Vipotnik and Cameron Burgess, who had previously headed home to give the hosts an unlikely lifeline, were enough to seal an incredible victory.
It had initially looked as though Forest's Premier League quality would shine through here, with Igor Jesus netting from a tight angle after 15 minutes, before popping up with a well-worked second on the stroke of half-time.
Swansea may well feel they should have had a penalty shortly before that second goal, after Malick Yalcouye was bundled over inside the box by Willy Boly, but his appeals fell on deaf ears.
Burgess then headed home midway inside the second half to give the hosts hope, before Vipotnik turned home in the 93rd minute to restore parity.
Then, with more or less the last kick of the game, Burgess fired home after Ethan Galbraith's effort had come back off the woodwork.
It's Swansea's first cup win over Premier League opposition since 2014, having previously lost all of their last nine attempts, and this sensational result also extends an astonishing unbeaten home record under Alan Sheehan, which stretches back to March.
As well as the fight, the grit and the spirit, there were individual positives all over the pitch for Sheehan, who made six changes for this clash.
Among them were full debuts for deadline day signings Adam Idah, Manuel Benson and
