Suspect named following alleged 'dangerous driving' incident in Bolton
A man has been charged with a string of driving and drugs offences after being arrested in Bolton. Greater Manchester Police says its officers were called out to reports of a man driving dangerously on Derby Street at around 2pm on Wednesday (January 29).
A 30-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident. In an update issued this afternoon (Friday), GMP confirmed he has since been charged and is due to appear in court later today.
Twana Ali, of Canal Street, Church, Accrington, has been charged with possession of class B and C drugs (cannabis and nitrous oxide), dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving without a licence and failing to stop for an officer. He has been remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Manchester Magistrates Court today.

We run regular roadside operations to detect a range of driving offences, prosecute individuals where necessary and raise awareness of how we can all be safer on the roads.
