Supercomputer shows how close Manchester United's top four fight with Newcastle and Liverpool will be

Manchester United are embroiled in a close battle to secure a place back in the Champions League next season.

United are fourth in the Premier League table and have three games left to go of their season in the top flight this campaign. They are seeking to secure a place in the top four in Erik ten Hag's first campaign in charge.

They are facing a close fight with Newcastle United, who are above them in the table on goal difference. Both teams have three games left to go this season and the race to finish third looks set to go down to the wire as the campaign approaches its climax.

Newcastle take on Brighton & Hove Albion this Thursday and know that victory over the Seagulls, coupled with another three points against Leicester City on Monday evening will confirm their place in Europe's Premier competition.
