Supercomputer predicts West Brom final league position after Steve Bruce appointment
West Bromwich Albion will be hoping to revive their promotion challenge under new manager Steve Bruce.
Bruce has been appointed to replace Valerien Ismael at the Albion helm following a disappointing run of form.
West Brom are currently clinging on to the final Championship play-off spot on goal difference from Middlesbrough.
So, just how likely are Albion secure a top-six finish this season? We have taken a look at what a "supercomputer" is predicting, using data provided by FiveThirtyEight.
The Baggies have been predicted to finish in seventh on 71 points and therefore miss out on the play-offs by a single point.
They have been given a 37 per cent chance of making it to the play-offs and a 14 per cent chance of securing promotion.
Blackburn Rovers, Queens Park Rangers, Sheffield United and Middlesbrough are all predicted to finish in the play-off places, with Fulham and Bournemouth going up automatically.
Meanwhile, Barnsley, Derby and Peterborough United are touted to be relegated.
