Super Falcons youngster Sabastine joins Galatasaray

Galatasaray Women’s team have signed Super Falcons youngster Flourish Sabastine on a one-year contract from French side Stade de Reims Féminines.

Sabastine joins Galatasaray after impressive spells with Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens and Stade de Reims Féminines of France, where she had initially signed a two-year deal in 2023.

The 19-year-old reunites with former Reims and Falconets teammate Tosin Demehin, who joined Galatasaray in September 2024.

A nominee for CAF’s 2022 Young Player of the Year, Sabastine was part of the Falconets squad that featured at the 2022 FIFA U-20 women’s World Cup. She also took part at this year’s U-20 women’s World Cup.

Sebastine was also one of four late call-ups for the Super Falcons in a friendly game against Japan in Kobe in October 2022.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray Women, currently 6th in the Turkish Women’s Super League, sit six points behind leaders Fenerbahce with 12 points from five games.
