‘Super Falcons already have complete squad for 2024 WAFCON’

Former coach of Nigeria Women’s U-17 team, Bala Nkiyu, has said that the Super Falcons have the complete team to book the ticket for the 2024 Women Africa Football Cup of Nations (WAFCON) billed for Morocco.

Speaking in the wake of the withdrawal of Sao Tome and Principe from the WAFCON qualifier, which automatically gave the Super Falcons ticket to the Second round of the qualifiers, Nkiyu said the withdrawal was an added advantage for the NFF to give the women’s national team the best assistance ahead the second stage of the qualifiers.

Nkiyu also noted that the delay in appointing a coach to handle the Nigeria Women’s team would not in any way affect the performance of the Super Falcons going by the team’s performance at the Women’s World Cup.

“The Super Falcons have the best squad to pick the Women Nations Cup ticket. We already have a complete team that can withstand any team in the World base on their performance at the World Cup. Any coach that will handle the Super Falcons already have a complete team to work with,” he
