Sundowns top PSL log after resounding Sekhukhune win
Mamelodi Sundowns continued their impressive run at home as the defending champions sealed a 3-0 win against Sekhukhune United at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.
Sundowns secured a fourth successive win against Sekhukhune and soared to the top of the PSL standings with victory.
In the 22nd minute, Tresor Yamba scored an own goal after a cross by Aubrey Modiba to hand the home side the lead at the break.
Sundowns came guns blazing in the second half with a penalty was awarded when Iqraam Rayners was brought down by Sekhukhune United goalkeeper Badra Ali Sangare inside the box. Arthur Sales stepped up for Masandawana and scored his first goal for the club to double the lead.
Sekhukhune were left defeated and a slip in defence saw Rayners curled it through three defenders and slot it off the right post to hand Sundowns sweet victory.
