Summer approaches as Proteas women set to host Bangladesh, Sri Lanka

Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced two forthcoming series for the Proteas women as they're set to host Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in 2023/24 season.

The Proteas women are in the midst of their first-ever tour in Pakistan, losing the three-match T20 3-0 and now shift their focus to the three-match ODIs, starting on Friday in Karachi (12:30 SA time).

The Bangladesh tour will take place from 3-23 December, while Sri Lanka, who stunned England to seal a 2-1 T20 series win, will tour South Africa in March 2024.

The venues for the Bangladesh tour will span four cities: Benoni, Kimberley, East London and Potchefstroom.

South Africa will take on Bangladesh in three-match T20 series in December, before competing in three ODI series, which offers up crucial qualification points towards the 2025 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup.

As the 2023/24 season comes to a close, the Proteas women will also welcome Sri Lanka on home soil.

The tour comprises of three T20Is held in Benoni, Potchefstroom and East London from 27 March - 03 April before three additional ODI contests in East London, Kimberley and Potchefstroom from 9 - 17 April.

Both tours will feature a 50-over warm-up match ahead of the respective ODIs, with a South Africa XI taking on their Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan counterparts.
