Former Bok signs deal with Stormers

The Stormers on Friday confirmed the signing of former Springbok and Lions wing Courtnall Skosan.

Skosan has been on the books of English club Northampton Saints since 2021.

The 32-year-old grew up in the Cape but started his professional career at the Bulls (2011-2013), before moving to the Lions where he played from 2014-2021.

He became a Springbok while at the Lions and played 12 Tests in the 2017 season.

Stormers coach John Dobson said Skosan is an ideal recruit for their mission to make Cape Town smile as he grew up supporting the team.

"We have all seen Courtnall's incredible finishing ability over the years and he has a real passion for this region and what it means to represent the Stormers.

"He brings valuable experience and a familiarity with European conditions and teams with him, which all makes him a highly valuable acquisition for us. We are looking forward to seeing what he can do in a Stormers jersey," Dobson said.

Skosan, who was schooled at Brackenfell High School, said the opportunity to return to Cape Town was one he couldn't pass up.

"This is a very exciting time for myself and my family. To be part of a Stormers squad that is already doing great things and back in Cape Town.

"I want to make the most of every minute I get in this jersey and do the supporters proud. I can't wait for the new season to get underway," Skosan said.
