Stuttgart Open: Nick Kyrgios stuns even himself with ferocious winner

Nick Kyrgios is a maverick on the tennis courts, doing and saying what he wants regardless of the consequences.

Whether it be for infamous on-court meltdowns or press conference rants, or for his ridiculous ability with a racket in his hand, Kyrgios is never far away from the headlines in tennis.

He’s taking part in the Stuttgart Open, producing magic for the fans after a wonderful winner against last 16 opponent, Nikoloz Basilashvili on his way to victory.

The Australian’s shot was almost an underarm stroke hit with serious ferocity. It beat Basilashvili all ends up who just couldn’t react in time to the strike.

In typical Kyrgios fashion, we’re talking about him just as much as the mind-blowing shot. His reaction was caught by the TV cameras after he hit the winner and surprise, surprise, it was priceless.

Kyrgios looks completely stunned after seeing the shot drop in at the back of the court winning him the point, that’s how good it was, he even stunned himself.

He also muttered out a few words after his expression of pure bewilderment and well, it doesn’t take a lip reader to be able to work out what he was saying!
