Stuart Kettlewell: There has been no talk over my Motherwell future. I'll keep doing this until told otherwise

Stuart Kettlewell understands speculation regarding his future at Motherwell but says there has been no discussion with hierarchy, and he will continue to do the job until told otherwise.

Kettlewell says what people outside of the club say doesn’t impact on him at all, and he will continue to work hard and try to transform a poor run of 12 Premiership games without a win, stretching back to a 1-0 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle on September 2, and which was exacerbated by a 3-0 defeat at Ross County on Tuesday.

With a potentially vital clash looming at home to St Johnstone on Saturday, Kettlewell knows what is at stake, but says nothing has changed for him.

When asked if he is confident he will continue in the job, Kettlewell said: “It’s not my place to say. What’s the outcome of a game on Saturday, what’s the result on Saturday?

“What happens beyond that is never going to be in my control to make the decision. All I can assure everybody is that I’m 100 per cent here, fighting at this club.

“I want to do the job, I think I’ve shown to everybody through a period of time that we have had a formula that works, and wins games.

“That probably sounds remiss, trying to deviate away from the actual facts of where we sit just now, so I accept that.

“But I can 100 per cent assure people that I want to do the job, to the best of my ability.

“There has certainly been no conversations surrounding my future at the football club.

“I understand the question, and everybody else wants an answer to that, but there has been no conversation surrounding that other than the fact that I’ll keep doing what I’m doing until such time as somebody tells me that there’s a change.
