Striker Seb Palmer-Houlden has joined Motherwell from Gillingham for an undisclosed fee

Striker Seb Palmer-Houlden has joined Scottish Premiership side Motherwell for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old forward leaves the Gills after a season at the club, having joined on a three-year-deal from Bristol City last summer. He was manager Gareth Ainsworth’s first signing.

Palmer-Houlden ends his stay at Gillingham after making 37 appearances and scoring five goals.

He is no stranger to Scottish football, having previously played for Dundee.

Motherwell boss Alfred Johansson described his new recruit as a “perfect addition.”

He said: “With experience here in Scotland, Seb has been playing and scoring at his previous clubs and offers pace, strength and versatility in the forward line.

“We hope to be able to include him in our Conference League squad for the matches against SC Freiburg.”
