Strictly Come Dancing's Aljaz Skorjanec jokes he's 'hormonal' following daughter's birth as he shares night update

Aljaz Skorjanec joked he was 'hormonal' as he had a mini rant online as he offered updates on his third night at home with his baby girl. The new dad and his wife Janette Marara delighted their fans and followers when they announced the arrival of their first child last weekend.

Former Strictly Come Dancing stars Aljaz, 33, and Janette, 39, who knew the gender of their baby but kept it a secret as a surprise for their friends and family for when she arrived, confirmed the arrival of their daughter in a sweet post on social media, revealing her name and birth date.

The black and white photo showed Janette cradling their baby, named Lyra Rose Skorjanec born on Friday (July 28), in her hospital bed while Aljaz leant over them, unable to hide his smile from the camera.

And in the days since, both Janette and Aljaz have been sharing updates on their new life as a family of three after they returned to their Cheshire home, where they moved to earlier this year, after welcoming Lyra in a London hospital via C-section.

In the early hours of Wednesday morning (August 2), the former Strictly dancer, who left fans gutted when he quit the show last year, shared how he was spending a lot of his time awake, unable to take his eyes off of his baby girl.
