Strictly Come Dancing fans say 'it's scary' as they mistake Nikita Kanda for Stacey Solomon

It's that time of year where Strictly Come Dancing makes its much anticipated return in the run-up to Christmas. The BBC dance contest was back on screens tonight (Sept 16) for its 21st series with a brand new batch of celebrities hoping to take home the Glitterball trophy.

Hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, the much-loved dance competition sees judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke cast their expert eyes over famous faces who guided by their professional dance partner.

Kicking off the launch show, viewers saw the likes of Love Island's Zara McDermott get partnered up with Graziano Di Prima, actor Amanda Abbington paired with Giovanni Pernice, Paralympian Jody Cundy matched with Jowita Przystał and Channel 4 News' Krishnan Guru-Murthy with Lauren Oakley.

But when it came to introducing radio and TV presenter Nikita Kanda, fans of the show all couldn't help but compare her to a familiar face. As Nikita spoke with hosts Tess and Claudia, viewers said she sounds just like Stacey Solomon - with some even mistaking the contestant for the Loose Women panellist.
