Stretch of M4 closed after 'serious collision' in Bridgend area

A stretch of the M4 is closed fully in the eastbound direction after a 'serious collision' in the Pencoed area. One lane is also closed on the westbound carriageway.

At 5.49am this morning South Wales Police said it was at the scene of the crash at Junction 35. The road currently closed in the eastbound direction between Junction 35 and Junction 34. One lane is lane is also closed on the westbound carriageway between Llantrisant and Pencoed.

It is expected to remain closed for some time, the force said, and delays are expected. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible.
