Street taped off and huge police presence after reports of shooting in Moss Side - updates
A street in south Manchester has been taped off this evening amid reports of a large police presence.
Eyewitnesses have reported seeing dozens of officers, some of whom are armed, in Great Western Street, Moss Side.
Pictures from the scene show several police vehicles and an ambulance next to a police cordon at the junction with Quinney Crescent. Witnesses have reported the incident was a shooting, however this has not been officially confirmed by the emergency services at this stage.

A police helicopter has also been spotted in the area - a short distance from Princess Road.
