Hull City have recently been linked with an audacious transfer swoop for former Germany international Mesut Ozil, per TEAMtalk.
The 33-year-old signed for Turkish giants Fenerbahce last January following his departure from Arsenal, with new Tigers owner Acun Ilicali playing a big part in making that move happen.
The media mogul and Ozil are close friends and due to his stature in his native country and his support of Fenerbahce, Ilicali has a big influence – and he could potentially use it again now Ozil has been suspended from first-team operations at the club.
Even though HullLive have reported that Ozil will likely not be making the switch to the MKM Stadium this summer due to having two years left on his contract, however director of football Tan Kesler did not entirely rule anything out when asked on the matter last week.
