Stranger murdered mum as she sat on her doorstep having a cigarette in horrific random attack

A stranger who murdered a mum-of-two on her doorstep rapped about killing someone just an hour before the attack, police said.

Anthony Stinson came across Charlotte Wilcock as she smoked a cigarette on her doorstep in Blackburn on the evening of March 3, Lancs Live reports. He claimed he had 'seen the Devil' before 'ferociously' kicking her and stabbing her to death with a Stanley knife in her hallway.

Ms Wilcock’s 15-month-old daughter was left alone upstairs until police officers discovered her the next day. After the attack, detectives searched Stinson's phone and found a video of him and a friend rapping about killing someone.

Stinson, of Queen Victoria Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to Ms Wilcock’s murder at Preston Crown Court on Monday and will be sentenced on Thursday (August 24).
