'Still struggling' - Lawrenson makes Leicester City vs Brentford prediction and names key man

Mark Lawrenson believes that Brentford will take all three points from their visit to Leicester at the weekend, with Brendan Rodgers not having time to work with his team this week.

City host the Bees on Sunday afternoon, three days after overcoming Rennes to make it to the quarter-final of the Europa Conference League. It means that there is a quick turnaround as they return to Premier League action.

Brentford go into the game having picked up six points in their last two games to move themselves away from the relegation zone. The last two matches have also seen Christian Eriksen start for the first time since he suffered a cardiac arrest while playing for Denmark in the European Championships last summer.

The midfielder is expected to again start vs City at the weekend, and Lawrenson believed that he could make the difference at the King Power Stadium.

“I always thought Brentford would start winning games again, and beating two of the sides below them in Norwich and Burnley were two massive steps towards safety,” he told BBC Sport. “They look a completely different team now Christian Eriksen is on board.

“Leicester are still struggling defensively, and I feel like Jonny Evans - who has been out injured since December - is a big miss for them at the back. The Foxes played in Rennes on Thursday night so Brendan Rodgers will not get much chance to work on their issues, particularly facing set-pieces, and I can see the Bees making it three wins on the trot.”

City, of course, have had a major injury boost of their own with defender Wesley Fofana playing 78 minutes of the clash vs Rennes on Thursday. If the Frenchman starts again at the weekend is still to be seen.
