'Starting to see'- Exciting Josh Sheehan Bolton verdict given ahead of Leeds United U21s clash
Ian Evatt is starting to see the signs from Josh Sheehan in training for Bolton Wanderers of his quality as he is having to cautiously manage the midfielder but the Whites boss will get another glimpse into how close he is to being regularly featuring again this evening.
Sheehan suffered a ruptured ACL sustained last November and returned to action in the victory over Crewe Alex in the Papa Johns Trophy at the end of August. It represented the end of a long journey to recovery.
The former Swansea midfielder joined Bolton in the summer of 2021 from Newport County on a free transfer. He was one of the stars in the first part of the season for Wanderers, before suffering his injury which ended his season early.

He has played twice for Wanderers so far this season, both in the Papa Johns Trophy. He is due to make a third this evening against Leeds United's under-21s.
Evatt believes the midfielder offers something a bit different to the rest of the players in that position within his squad. Owing to the strength in depth in that department and the form they have shown, it has taken the pressure off rushing Sheehan back to action.
Though the player himself wants to be regularly involved right now, Evatt admits he is having to keep the reins on the former Swansea City youth prospect for now. But he will get another good indication of where the midfielder is this evening, with hopes it will not be too long before he can be back playing on a more regular basis.
