St James Park atmosphere is roaring on Exeter City to victory

Exeter City midfielder Tim Dieng hailed the home atmosphere of the Grecians fans who roared them on to a 3-1 win under the lights against Wycombe Wanderers. Nearly 7,000 fans (6832) were inside St James Park on Tuesday to see City beat last season’s beaten play-off finalists, with just under 6,500 of them in the home ends.

“It was a good game and a great win to react to Saturday,” the 30-year-old said. “It was a strong performance and now on Saturday we have to keep the momentum going. When we play at home, the atmosphere is at its best as the fans are amazing and they are always behind us, so that is big plus

With Kitey and Archie we are a good three in midfield and all of us scored today and want to keep the momentum for the weekend. Now we can rest and prepare for the game and we need to be at it.”

“It felt like a tough one against
