Soweto Derby | 'Any contact and Billiat is diving in the Olympic pool' - Pirates coach

A muted Soweto Derby takes centre stage on the weekend, and it is expected that millions across the country and continent will be tuned in when the kick-off whistle sounds.

Sadly, no fans are allowed entry to the venue as the Covid-19 regulations continue to halt mass gatherings at domestic football matches around the country.

During the first DStv Premiership clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium, Keagan Dolly was the hero as his brace clinched three points for the Glamour Boys.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns winger finished off a stunning counterattack move by the home side to take the lead early in the second-half, only for Buccaneers' Linda Mntambo to equalise in the 87th minute.

However, Dolly's maiden Soweto Derby in Amakhosi colours could not have been written any better - if it ever was.

Referee Victor Hlungwani pointed to the penalty spot as Pirates defender Olisa Ndah floored Khama Billiat in the goalkeeper's box.

Dolly made no mistake from the penalty spot, ensuring the victory, but Pirates co-coach has now reminded officials, ahead of Saturday's highly anticipated fixture, that he feels Billiat falls easily to the ground.

"I think the previous derby, and you talk about the penalty we conceded, and that is no coincidence," said a fired-up Davids on Thursday during the pre-match press conference.

"You can go back and see how many penalties Kaizer Chiefs have had in a derby, and I hope we can be clear in relation to penalty decisions on Saturday - clear, structured decisions, neutral on both sides.

"Yes, you talk about the Billiat incident, but we know Billiat. If you touch him, any contact in the box and already he is diving in the Olympic pool.
