Pirates made to sweat in win over SuperSport United: 'We make things difficult for ourselves'

Orlando Pirates co-coach Mandla Ncikazi admitted his side made it difficult for themselves in their 3-2 DStv Premiership win over SuperSport United.

Keagan Johannes opened the scoring at the Orlando Stadium on Wednesday on just seven minutes before a second SuperSport goal from Gamphani Lungu with 18 minutes on the clock.

Deon Hotto though restored parity with two penalties (45, 45+3) before Goodman Mosele sealed the win with his goal four minutes into injury time at the end of the encounter.

The three points left Pirates in fourth place on the league standings, level with Kaizer Chiefs in third and a point adrift of Royal AM in second.

After the midweek clash, Ncikazi told SuperSport: "We just make things very difficult for ourselves.

"It's not the first time. When we played the team against Swaziland, same scenario. I can count the number of games; we seem not to be good learners. I thought we had enough chances even first half before we scored. We had enough chances. It's just that sickness."

Ncikazi added: "We had clear-cut chances. We are just failing with that important part of scoring but let me not sound ungrateful for the fightback that the players had. From two goals down and they come back and win the match. Congratulations to them, nerve-wracking. But it's the nature of the game. Not the prettiest of matches.

"If you look at the number of chances created, I don't think they created a lot of chances other than the last one that I saw now. But other than that you can count the chances that we created.
