Southern Counties East League round-up: Bearsted stunned by injury-time Snodland double while Kennington lose top spot with Larkfield & New Hythe defeat

Bearsted conceded twice in injury time to lose their unbeaten record in the Southern Counties East Premier Division.

The Bears led Snodland 1-0 thanks to Billy Lewins’ first-half cracker and were heading for the top of the table.

But Harry Hudson levelled in the sixth minute of added time and Alvin Tutyatemba won it three minutes later.

Kennington dropped to second place after losing to an injury-time strike at Larkfield & New Hythe.

Kesna Clarke scored the only goal in the third minute of stoppage time as Ton were replaced at the summit by a Sutton Athletic who were 3-2 winners over Phoenix Sports.

Conor Evans and Reggie Rye scored either side of the break for Athletic but Sports hit back through Ahkeem Belford and a Lyle Della-Verde penalty.

Taylor Fisher scored the winner with 20 minutes remaining.

Faversham Strike Force climbed to third with Ali Wren’s 64th-minute goal earning a 1-0 win over Hythe.

It was a third successive defeat for the young Cannons.

Tunbridge Wells are fourth after an impressive 4-1 victory at Punjab United.

D’Armando Lawrence scored twice and Jonathon Shea also struck as Wells led 3-0 inside 23 minutes.

Roman Campbell replied from the spot but Lawrence’s hat-trick goal completed a big win for the visitors.

Punjab are still to win this season and the same goes for bottom side Corinthian, who lost 2-1 at home to Hollands & Blair.

Ross Obazee gave the Hoops a seventh-minute lead but Josh Oliver equalised before the half-hour mark and Charlie Weston scored Blair’s second-half winner.

Chislehurst Glebe are the third team in the division awaiting their first league win.

Jamie Philpott edged the Foxes in front but opponents Fisher levelled through Rafael Garcia on the stroke of half-time.
