Southern Counties East League Premier Division round-up including draws involving Faversham Strike Force, Punjab United, Phoenix Sports and Corinthian, as well as victory for Larkfield & New Hythe
Tyler Ibe helped early Southern Counties East League Premier Division high-fliers Larkfield & New Hythe to victory at Tunbridge Wells on Saturday.
Having broken the deadlock with a penalty in the 55th minute, the wideman added a second with 18 minutes left as it ended 2-0 to the visitors.
Faversham Strike Force were pegged back by a stoppage-time equaliser in their 3-3 draw at home to Fisher.
Hayden Wood put Stuart Benfield’s side in front and, while the visitors equalised, further Strike Force goals from Alex Willis and Baily Sinnock had the hosts 3-1 up.
But Jack Gibbons got Fisher’s second in the 75th minute and Lorenzo Duncan ensured they got a share of the spoils from the six-goal game with a leveller on 91 minutes at The Belmont.
Striker Roman Campbell struck eight minutes from time in Punjab United’s 1-1 draw at Holmesdale.
Struggling Chislehurst Glebe drew 3-3 at home to Sutton Athletic.
Reggie Rye and Jamie Philpot put them into a two-goal lead inside 22 minutes before efforts from Louis Lovell, Emmanuel Oduguwa and Ryan Mahal had the visitors 3-2 in front by half-time.
But Malachi Morris ensured Glebe didn’t finish the game empty-handed as Sutton substitute Oliver Farmer was dismissed at the death.
Phoenix Sports - under new player-manager Jake Goodman - drew 2-2 at home to Corinthian on Friday.
Vastly-experienced defender Goodman put through his own net and Tom Mitcham doubled Corinthian’s first-half lead on 21 minutes.
But Ahkeem Belford set up a grandstand finish and Jensen Grant equalised at the death for Goodman’s team.
Due to the “Groundhop weekend”, Hythe will host Whitstable tomorrow (Sunday) at 11am before Snodland visit Hollands & Blair at 3pm.
