Southampton vs Man City U18 LIVE goal and score updates from U18 Premier League national final

Manchester City can add another trophy to their collection tonight with victory in the Under-18 Premier League national final at Southampton.

City, who won the Northern division of the U18 Premier League, visit Southern winners Southampton looking to retain the title they won last season. The academy has already won the Premier League 2 at Under-23 level, the U18 Northern title, as well as cups at Under-17 and Under-16 level. City would become the first club to win back-to-back U23 and U18 national titles in the Premier League if they are triumphant today.

Head coach Ben Wilkinson says his youngsters are ready for the challenge against a Southampton side who won one more point than the Blues did in their division in the regular season.

“For me it’s the perfect way to end the season in terms of where our players are at,” Wilkinson said. “The lads have trained very well, you can see there is a buzz in the air and an intensity about the training. It’s what they have worked hard for all season.”
