Sources: Raiders trade Jakobi Meyers to Jaguars for picks - ESPN

The Las Vegas Raiders are trading wide receiver Jakobi Meyers to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for fourth- and sixth-round draft picks, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday.

Multiple teams, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, had shown interest in Meyers, who is scheduled to become a free agent after his contract expires this season.

Meyers had said multiple times this season that he wanted to be traded, including last week when he told reporters that he wants «to be in a good spot.»

He now lands on a Jacksonville team with a banged-up receiver room.

Rookie Travis Hunter had moved into the No. 1 receiver role in Week 7, but suffered a noncontact knee injury in practice Thursday and was placed on injured reserve. The team has said it isn't sure yet if Hunter will be able to return this season. Brian Thomas Jr., who has struggled with drops this season after finishing third in the NFL in receiving yards as a rookie in 2024, had been dealing with a shoulder injury, then hurt his ankle in Sunday's overtime win against the Raiders. Dyami Brown, who joined the team as a free agent in March, also has a shoulder injury and was evaluated for a concussion Sunday.

The Jaguars lead the NFL in drops (19), including five by Thomas, according to ESPN Research. Meyers, who turns 29 on Nov. 9, has 11 drops in his seven-year career and never has had more than two in a season.

Meyers is in the final year of a three-year, $33 million deal that he signed in 2023, after four seasons with the New England Patriots. He has a cap hit of $14.98 million
