'Something's not right' - Gary Neville concerned about Man Utd star's issues away from the pitch

Gary Neville has admitted that he is concerned about Marcus Rashford after he has continued to struggle for Manchester United this season.

Rashford has failed to live up to the numbers of last season, where he netted 30 goals for United. This campaign, the 26-year-old has scored just six goals in all competitions.

The England international has also been involved in a number of controversial incidents this season. He has continued to be selected by Erik ten Hag, despite calls for him to be dropped.

Last time out, United were second-best against Brentford, and Rashford faced criticism for his below-par display. Neville, who has defended the academy product in the past, has claimed that there is something wrong with the player.

Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, brought to you by Sky Bet, he said: “Marcus Rashford, I don’t know how to say this, but to me, there’s something not right.

"He’s not right, and it’s not just a case of him not playing well, he doesn’t look happy. I’m looking at him and thinking, I am worried about him.

"We know there’s been a couple of instances this season, he’s come under pressure and his form has been bad, but I look at him and think that’s not right. It’s not a lad that’s grown up with the freedom and spirit of playing for Manchester United as a kid.”
