"Someone Leeds should be looking at" - Journalist drops exciting transfer verdict on 25 G/A star

Leeds should target a summer move for highly-rated Nottingham Forest attacker Brennan Johnson, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

Johnson has been one of the standout players in the Championship this season and has been the subject of interest from several top-flight sides.

Despite Forest gunning for a return to the Premier League via the play offs, Football Insider believe that the 20-year-old has no intention of signing a new contract, with his current deal expiring in just over 12 months.

As a result, Leeds are ‘monitoring the situation’ along with West Ham, Crystal Palace, and Brentford.

Furthermore, O’Rourke previously told GiveMeSport that the Elland Road outfit have been watching the youngster for a number of weeks and are keen on his services following his impressive exploits in the second-tier over the last nine months.

Meanwhile, Brentford saw an £18m bid rejected in January, with Forest unwilling to sell him for less than their £20m asking price.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I think he would be an ideal signing for Leeds. He’s young, he’s got real potential, he will only get better and would add to Leeds’ attacking options.

“He can play on both wings and has also shown that he has got a goal in him. He’s certainly shown that he’s an impressive young player and someone that Leeds should be looking at.”
