"He’s dangerous" – Journalist drops exciting CPFC transfer verdict on £10m “complete player"

Crystal Palace target Ola Aina is a ‘complete player’ amid growing interest in his services from the Premier League, according to Italian football expert Conor Clancy.

The 25-year-old has impressed upon his return to Torino this season and has reportedly caught the eye of the Eagles’ hierarchy as they plot the next step of their evolution under Patrick Vieira.

Aina is a product of Chelsea’s extremely fruitful academy system, but the defender only made six senior appearances for his boyhood club before moving on.

The Nigeria international enjoyed loan spells at Hully City and Torino before joining the Bulls on a permanent basis in July 2019, but he temporarily returned to English shores last term.

A 12-month stint with Fulham, which saw Aina play across the entire backline as well as in defensive midfield, ended in relegation yet boosted his reputation in the country of his birth.

Torino manager Ivan Juric has also made use of the 6 foot ace’s versatility, playing him at wing-back on both flanks throughout the current campaign.

And it seems as though Aina’s mastery of multiple positions has impressed those in charge at Selhurst Park, with Italian outlet Torino Granata claiming Palace are in pole position to secure his services.

The report states that Aina has a price tag of around £10 million, and Clancy believes his is a ‘dangerous’ player who can cover many areas of the pitch.

In an exclusive interview with GiveMeSport, he said: “I quite like him going forward. I think he’s dangerous; he can do things.

“He’s maybe not technically the best player, but in terms of what he can cover and what he can do, he’s kind of a complete player.”
