Snake Pass LIVE updates after motorcyclist killed in horror crash
Enquiries are ongoing after a motorcyclist was killed in a devastating crash on Snake Pass. A 13-mile stretch of the A57 was shut in both directions following a crash involving a blue Suzuki motorbike and a Kia Picanto at 11.20am yesterday (March 31).
Derbyshire Police confirmed that the male motorcyclist sadly died at the scene. His family have been informed.
The Kia driver was 'not seriously injured', police added. Enquiries are ongoing.

Accident investigation works have been taking place on the A57, between Hurst Road, in Glossop, and the Ladybower Reservoir. Derbyshire Police stated the road had reopened at 8.40pm last night.
Drivers had been asked to avoid the road, linking Manchester and Sheffield, yesterday. Witnesses to yesterday's crash are being urged to come forward.

Derbyshire Police has also confirmed Snake Pass is open.
Traffic monitoring services say Snake Pass remains closed for investigation works this morning.
The latest update from Inrix says: "A57 Snake Pass in both directions closed due to accident investigation work from Hurst Road (Royal Oak Inn, Glossop) to A6013 (Ladybower Reservoir, Ladybower). Traffic is coping well. Closed since yesterday morning."
Google Maps also shows the same 13-mile closure in place.
Derbyshire Police has been approached for clarification.
