Smoke billows from site amid ongoing fire as residents told to 'keep windows closed'

Emergency crews are at the scene of an ongoing blaze in Tameside this evening, with road closures in place and residents urged to 'keep windows and doors closed'.

The blaze has erupted at a site near Cheshire Street in the Mossley area. Smoke can be seen billowing from the area, with a heavy fire service response.

The cause of the blaze has not yet been confirmed, but Cheshire Street along with nearby Crown Hill currently blocked. Police are also at the scene.
