Slobodan Rubezic seals Aberdeen FC transfer as six-figure Serb becomes Barry Robson's EIGHTH summer recruit
Aberdeen have thrashed out a deal to sign Slobodan Rubezic from Novi Pazar.
The Dons had agreed a six-figure fee with the Serbian club with various add-ons. Personal terms have now been struck with the central defender and is subject to the player completing a medical and a work permit being issued.
Aberdeen will now submit his work permit process and will hope they will get the green light for Rubezic ahead of next weekend’s Scottish Premiership opener against Livingston. The 23-year-old has been identified by Aberdeen’s scouting team. If the Pitodrie side can get the go-ahead before next weekend it would be a major boost to boss Barry Robson. He is short of central defensive options with fitness concerns over Angus MacDonald and Rhys Williams. Aberdeen complete their pre-season fixtures with a trip to Charlton Athletic tomorrow.
