Sky Sports reporter drops fresh Tottenham claim on futures of Ndombele, Lo Celso and Gil

Bryan Gil is likelier to report back for pre-season training at Tottenham than Giovani Lo Celso or Tanguy Ndombele, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

Having made little impact since the arrival of Antonio Conte, the trio were all allowed to leave on loan in January.

It was a busy deadline day for Tottenham, with Rodrigo Bentancur an Dejan Kulusevski arriving from Juventus.

But there were also a host of departures in North London, too. Dele Alli finally left following several months of being linked away, while Gil, Lo Celso and Ndombele, who’d make just one Premier League start under Conte between them, were loaned out.

Gil, who only joined from Sevilla last summer, made a swift return to La Liga when he joined Valencia, while Lo Celso also signed for a Spanish club in Villarreal.

Meanwhile, less than three years after becoming Spurs’ record-signing, Ndombele, who hadn’t played since he was booed off against Morecambe in early January, re-joined Lyon on loan.

The trio have only moved on temporary deals, meaning they will all return to Tottenham at the end of the season, even though Ndombele’s move back to France has an option to buy included in the deal.

But given the fact that Lo Celso and Ndombele, who cost Spurs more than £80m in 2019, don’t appear to be in Conte’s good books, Bridge believes that Gil is the most likely to report back to Hotspur Way ahead of the 2022-2023 campaign.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I think out of the three that have been loaned out, who’s the likeliest to come back for pre-season? I think it would be Bryan Gil for me.”
