Sky Sports News Presenter Hayley McQueen Heard 'Crying' Live On Air During Emotional Coverage Of Ukraine Conflict

Sky Sports News presenter Hayley McQueen appeared to be overcome with emotion after showing her support for Ukraine during a live broadcast on Saturday.

McQueen showed her solidarity with Ukraine by wearing the colours of the Ukrainian flag, blue and yellow, while presenting on the sports channel.

Fans were left concerned after McQueen briefly lost her composure following a segment on sports stars affected by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

McQueen’s voice could be heard breaking while she attempted to present the next segment of the show, a pre-recorded interview with Manchester City's John Stones.

Fans immediately took to social media to show their support for McQueen.

“Hope @HayleyMcQueen is feeling ok. Sounded like she started to cry during that last report off-screen @SkySportsNews,” wrote one fan.

Another added: “Definitely looks like she's been crying. Hope she is ok and someone coming to take over if she needs it.”

Other fans praised McQueen for wearing the colours of the Ukrainian flag.

“Thank you @HayleyMcQueen for your [outfit] this morning. Touch of class and courage,” commented one fan.

“Also hope all ok with you. That was a difficult moment but you recovered brilliantly. Sending every good wish to you and yours.”

Another added: “Loving the fact @HayleyMcQueen is wearing clothes that are the colours of the Ukrainian flag. Great stuff.”

McQueen later took to social media to post Ukraine’s flag on her Instagram story, alongside the caption: “If Russia stops fighting there will be no more war.

“If Ukraine stops fighting there will be no more Ukraine. #handsoffukraine.”

Ukraine’s health minister Viktor Lyashko says a total of 198 Ukrainians, including three children, have been killed since the start of the Russian invasion.
