Six players Manchester United should send out on loan in summer transfer window

Apart from the sale of Zidane Iqbal, it has been a very quiet start to the summer transfer window for Manchester United.

After a successful maiden campaign under Erik ten Hag, the Reds will be hoping to build on the foundations that were laid in 2022/23 by kicking on in the forthcoming campaign. A lot of work needs to be done to strengthen the squad, with the United manager understood to be keen on recruiting a new goalkeeper, a central-midfielder and a striker at the very least.

But even though it will be incomings that excite United's supporters the most between now and the 11pm deadline on Friday, September 1, departures are as equally important this summer. The Reds need to trim the size of their squad by offloading several fringe players on permanent deals and youngsters who would benefit from a loan spell elsewhere.

United sent a plethora of players out on loan during the 2022/23 campaign, sending them down into the lower leagues of English football and abroad. It is more than likely that the same will happen again this summer.

With that said, MEN Sport has taken a close look at six members of United's squad who would benefit from being sent out on loan ahead of the forthcoming campaign.

With Diogo Dalot, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and even Ethan Laird all more senior than Jurado, this summer feels like an ideal opportunity for the Spanish right-back to head out on loan for the first time. The 19-year-old, who joined United from Barcelona in 2020, was a regular fixture for the club's Under-21s in the most recent campaign, featuring in both the Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy.
