Sir Jim Ratcliffe takes swipe at Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes

INEOS founder Sir Jim Ratcliffe mocked Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes for his behaviour at Anfield last season during the Reds' 7-0 drumming against Liverpool.

The infamous encounter will live long in United fans' memories for all the wrong reasons as Erik ten Hag's side were comfortably beaten. During the game, Fernandes' behaviour was called out by pundits and supporters alike when he feigned injury in an attempt to get an opponent sent off.

His attitude was broadly slammed and led to some questioning whether Fernandes should be captain of the Reds. Ten Hag opted to keep faith in the Portuguese midfielder and made him permanent skipper in the summer as he replaced Harry Maguire.

However his actions in March continue to stick to him and in the book 'Grit, Rigour & Humour - The INEOS Story', Ratcliffe made light of Fernandes' attitude.
