Shrewsbury Town will be glad to be in their current position, all but safe as they look set to remain in League One next season.

When their status in the third tier is mathematically confirmed for next season, Steve Cotterill may look to experiment with some of his younger players to see who can and can’t play a role for the Shropshire outfit during the 2022/23 campaign.

With a potentially tight budget to work within in the summer, those young players stepping up will be important.
