Kai Rooney scores stunning long-range strike against Manchester City

His father was a teenage prodigy so it should be no surprise that Kai Rooney is already showing signs that he can follow in the footsteps of his legendary dad.

The 12-year-old joined United’s academy when he was just ten and he’s doing the family name proud by scoring regularly for United’s U12s side.

Rooney snr. famously burst onto the scene with a stunning strike against Arsenal when he was just 16, while the most famous goal of his career came in 2011 when he scored a stunning overhead kick against neighbours Manchester City at Old Trafford.

Kai is playing alongside the son of United forward Cristiano Ronaldo for the Red Devils’ U12s.

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. joined the club after Ronaldo’s return last summer and he’s certainly under more pressure than Kai to emulate his father.
