Should Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak resign over Partygate?

Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak have been issued with fines over the Downing Street parties, and we want to know if you think they should resign or not.

A No 10 spokeswoman said: “The Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Exchequer have today received notification that the Metropolitan police intend to issue them with fixed penalty notices.

“We have no further details, but we will update you again when we do.”

Police investigated allegations of parties held at Downing Street during lockdown, with more than 50 fines having been handed out already. At least 30 more fines are expected to be issued by the ACRO Criminal Records Office.

Calls have already come in from in from many for them to go with Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer saying: "Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak have broken the law and repeatedly lied to the British public. They must both resign."

However, Scottish Tory leader Douglas Ross has said it “wouldn’t be right” for the Prime Minister to resign with the crisis in Ukraine still ongoing.
