PMQs LIVE as Boris Johnson faces Sir Keir Starmer in House of Commons

Boris Johnson is set to face MPs in Parliament for Prime Ministers Questions this afternoon.

The Prime Minister is expected to be asked about a Mail on Sunday article about Labour deputy leader Angela Rayner.

The article claimed that an unnamed Tory MP had told the newspaper Ms Rayner crossed and uncrossed her legs during PMQs in an attempt to distract Mr Johnson

Mr Johnson has since slammed the story as “misogynistic tripe” and said the “sexist” claims, made by anonymous Tory MPs and reported in the Mail of Sunday, were “appalling”.

The Prime Minister is also expected to take more questions about 'Partygate' after he was fined for breaching lockdown rules.

MPs are also set to quiz Mr Johnson on the cost of living crisis as well as the war in Ukraine.

PMQs starts at 12pm and we will have live updates below...

Sir Keir Starmer says he knows the PM 'will have whipped his backbenches to scream and shout'. I hope he has also sent a clear message that there is no place for sexism and misogyny in this House, his party or in modern Britain, the Labour leader says.

Boris Johnson says this will be the final PMQs of this Parliamentary session. He goes on to talk through some of the policies made and laws passed during the current session.

There is plenty more to come in the Queen's Speech on May 10, he says.

Prime Minister's Questions is due to start any minute now. We'll have live updates as it happens.
