Shoppers say 'Christmas sorted' over giant £3.50 Babybel as big as your hand

Most people love a bit of cheese over Christmas and the launch of a giant Babybel is getting shoppers in a tizz.

The limited-edition Maxi Babybel has made a comeback for 2024 and is available in a number of supermarkets, including Iceland, Morrisons, Asda and Sainsbury's.

The return of the 200g supersized seasonal snack has caused a fan frenzy again this year, with its cheeky reveal on social channels reaching around half a million views.

Commenting on a photo of the £3.50 snack, which is 10 times bigger than normal Mini Babybels, one shopper said: "Omg my son would love this," with another adding: "Well that's Christmas sorted."

Others simply declared 'I need this' and 'might have just found the perfect stocking filler'.

Research from Babybel found that nearly a quarter (24%) of consumers look forward to seasonal and limited-edition products each year, with 60% of Brits gearing up to go big this Christmas, making the holiday season of 2024 one filled with oversized festive fun and nostalgic charm.

A spokesperson for Babybel said: “It’s great to see the nation embracing going big at Christmas this year and focusing on the fun of the festive season, as well as see the fans flock to supermarket aisles to stock up on the Christmas limited-edition Maxi Babybel."

Maxi Babybel is available for a limited time only in Morrisons, Asda, Sainsburys, Ocado, Iceland, Spar, Nisa and Booths.
